Believe it or not, analogic photographers has a chance more to become famous that digital ones. During the 80’s it was extremely selected enter as fashion photographer it was only for the really top once, the few that was also able to realize a fashion shoot instead only a photo. Films and developing was so expensive process reserved only to the few sponsor by some top fashion magazines. That’s how we know photographers like Mario Testino, on today time one of the most (if not THE MOST ) famous fashion photographer ever. Like it or not at the moment he is the king on fashion!! Not for long , as there are so many new talent to push on his back , but for the moment we are happy to enjoy his work in a new photo exhibit.
Even though he has not much to share with HelmuthNewton photographic style, his exibit is going to open on the Helmuth Newton foundation in Berlin this week-end.
This mixed of fashion-photography style, gives viewers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the work of both photographers. Simultaneously running alongside the Testino-dedicated exhibition is Helmut Newton: Unseen, an exploration of the bold black-and-white sexually-charged photography Newton is known for. A further exhibition, Jean Pigozzi: Pool Party, is also on display and features snaps from the 80s and 90s of VIPs like Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger and Bono sunning themselves poolside at Pigozzi’s house.
The exibition is going to be part of Taschen book pubblication.
